Keep Aspect Ratio

While check Keep Aspect Ratio, you can crop video under the condition of Keep Aspect Ratio as Original, Crop Area, 16:9 or 4:3.

Original: Keep the aspect ratio as source video.

Crop Area: Keep the aspect ratio as cropped region.

16:9: Keep the aspect ratio as 16:9.

4:3: Keep the aspect ratio as 4:3.

While uncheck Keep Aspect Ratio, you can crop video in any Aspect Ratio.

Crop Your Video

Method One: Crop by adjusting the crop frame. The crop frame is the yellow line around the movie video. There are eight surrounding handles on the crop frame. Drag the surrounding handles to adjust the crop area.

Method Two: Crop by setting the crop values. There are four crop values at the bottom of the window: Left, Top, Right and Bottom. You can click the up or down arrow, or directly enter the value, then the crop frame will move accordingly.

Zoom Mode

Letterbox: Stretch video to the needed aspect ratio and keep the cropped video aspect ratio simultaneously. Fill in the lacking part in black.

Pan & Scan: Stretch video to the needed aspect ratio and cut the surplus part.

Medium: A compromise between the above two methods, cut part of the surplus and fill in part of the black side.

Full: Stretch video to the needed aspect ratio in full screen.

Tip: Zoom Mode can take effect only when the output Aspect Ratio is different from the one of source file.

The cropped effect can be viewed in the Output Preview window simultaneously while you operating.

Click Restore Defaults button to restore the cropped setting to defaults.
